Choice is another of my folklore themed portraits, Sleeping Beauty, though this time she isn’t made to sleep from the spinning wheel. If she could not escape the curse placed on her, then at the very least she could choose when and how the curse befalls her. In this portrait I wanted her to be comfortable, she’s pricked her finger on an embroidery needle instead.
